Invitation to Return Back To China

Huanggang Homecoming

This is a special year for Huanggang Social Welfare Institute (SWI). The families and children adopted from Huanggang are invited to share in this major milestone: The move to the new, beautiful building and have the best living conditions possible. The celebration is to have a special focus on children who have been adopted from Huanggang.
The personal invitation, extended to Huanggang Families from Director Liu of Huanggang SWI and Bridge of Love Adoption Service (BLAS), includes a visit at CCAA, a welcoming party at BLAS and a trip to the Great Wall, Tian’an Men Square and Forbidden City in Beijing. Then on to Huanggang, where families can visit the SWI’s old building, look through children’s file, talk with caretakers and learn to make dumplings and hand-made noodle in the dining hall in SWI. At the celebration ceremony for the SWI’s move, families will enjoy the performance by children from the SWI, lion dancing, local Huangmei drama, zither and erhu show. In the Thanksgiving Forest in SWI, every child is entitled to a tree of his/her own which will bear his/her name. The child can also trim and water his/her tree. The SWI will give each child a special gift as souvenir. Additional activities for families in Wuhan include Yellow Crane Tower and Yangtz River Beach. The children will be the honored guests for the moving ceremony, which will be attended by representatives from the government who are in charge of adoption affairs, television crews, and friends of the orphanage. This is planned to be a special celebration for the children, and there is much excitement whirling around this proposed event.
